Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal Contracts #23-01 (1 Year) Said Contract Shall Consist of Services Associated With Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal in accordance with these specifications. The Authority will be accepting and evaluating bids regarding one and two term options as described herein. At the above stated time and place, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be made on the Standard Proposal Form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, the number and name of the contract, and the item bid on the outside of the envelope. No responsibility shall be attached to any person or persons for the premature opening of any bid not properly addressed and identified. Copies of said form, including the specifications thereof, will be furnished either at the discretion of or upon application to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority at the address listed above (between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.), or will be mailed to the applicant upon request and receipt of $0.00 made payable to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority to cover the cost of postage and handling. Each bid shall be accompanied by a security, payable to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded to the bidder, the bidder will enter into a contract thereof and will furnish a Performance Bond. This security shall be in the amount of 10% of the amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 and may be given, at the option of the bidder, in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond (from a company satisfactory to the SCMUA). The total amount of the units bid will be used as a bid figure to determine the amount of the 10% check or bid bond required. Bid proposals must also include the following: Stockholder or Partnership Disclosure Statement, Resolution, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran, Bid Bond and Certificate of Surety or other documentation with respect to performance security if such alternate security is proposed. Bids may be rejected if the above-named documents are not included with the proposal. The successful bidder shall also be required to furnish and deliver to the Authority an executed Performance Bond, and irrevocable Letter of Credit or other form of security satisfactory to the Authority in the amount of at least one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the contract price as security for the faithful performance by the Contractor of the contract requirements. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, 34 South Route 94, Lafayette, New Jersey 07848 on or before the hour above named. The SCMUA will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail and no bid will be accepted after the hour and date specified. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. Bidders are also required to comply with the requirements of Public Laws 1977, Chapter 33. The provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. are incorporated herein by reference. If the Contract is to be awarded, the SCMUA will award to the lowest responsible, responsive and qualified bidder within sixty (60) days of the Bid Opening or agree upon an extension of time acceptable to any bidders. No bidder may withdraw its bid during the period beginning upon Bid Opening and ending sixty (60) calendar days after the actual date of said Bid Opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities or informalities in the bids and to accept the bid or bids, which in their judgment, will best serve the interest of the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority.
