Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Head of Jeddore, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
This Request for Quotations ("RFQ") is an invitation by Halifax Regional Municipality ("HRM") to prospective bidders to submit bids for the provision of the removal of a portion of the existing shingles, and the installation of a new wood shingles, including painting at the Findlay Community Centre, as further described in the RFQ Deliverables set out in Appendix A. Deadline for Written Questions January 25, 2023 Bidders and their representatives are not permitted to contact any employees, officers, agents, elected or appointed officials or other representatives of HRM, other than the HRM Contact or their designates, concerning matters regarding this RFQ. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in the disqualification of the bidder and the rejection of the bidder's bid. If awarded a contract by HRM, the successful bidder will be required to provide the Deliverables to HRM in accordance with the Form of Agreement and/or Contract Terms and Conditions, referenced in Appendix B. To supply labour and material to preform the following work: Remove and dispose of identified areas of the shingle siding. Supply and installation of new wood shingle siding in the identified areas. Painting of the new shingle siding. All materials and labour required to perform the work are to be included in price. Cape Cod primed 1" by 6" wood shingle siding to be used. Provide new corner boards and Tyvek as needed. Clad in window trim where needed. Installation of shingle siding as per manufacturer's specifications. If working around a work space or public area, the contractor will be responsible for sealing off the area of work while the job is in progress. Paint to be DULUX(R) WEATHERGUARD(R) Exterior Latex 1550 or equivalent. Application of paint as per manufacturer's specifications. The contractor shall warrant that the work including materials provided shall conform to professional standards of care and practice, in effect at the time the work is performed, be of the highest quality and be free from all faults, defects and errors. The contractor shall further warrant that all materials provided shall be new. Warranties shall commence on the date of completion for a period of one (1) year. The contractor is responsible to meet the following but not limited to, all Industry, Federal, Provincial Government and the Halifax Regional Municipality by-laws, regulations, codes, standards and safety. Copies of all required permits to be supplied to the HRM representative. TIMELINE: Request for Quotation from contractors issued in March 2023 was subsequently cancelled by the owner. Timelines for re-bid and construction are unknown. Project may be republished in the future, pending owner's decision to proceed.
