Bids shall be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked: Thornton Township High School District 205 465 East 170TH Street, South Holland, Illinois 60473-3481 Attention: Bulley & Andrews Project: Thornridge High School Cosmetology Renovations Bid Package 1 Scope of work for Bid Group 1 generally includes: demolition, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general trades All bids must be submitted in accordance with the bidding instructions contained in the Bidding Documents for the project. Bid security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bond shall be payable to the Board of Education, Thornton Township High School District 205, 465 East 170TH Street, South Holland, Illinois 60473-3481. All documents and information required by the bidding instructions contained in the Bidding Documents for the project shall be submitted with the bid. Incomplete, late or non-conforming bids may not be accepted. No bids shall be withdrawn, cancelled or modified after the time for opening of bids without the Board's consent for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make an award that in the Board's sole opinion is in the best interest of the District. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. If during the time period of work, the prevailing wage rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount.
