Site work for a water / sewer project in Rochester, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replace approximately 2,400 feet of 12-inch asbestos cement (AC) water main and install approximately 1,100 feet of 8-inch water main near Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital in section 15 of the City. The AC water main will be replaced with ductile iron or high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, depending on the installation method. The proposed water main along Walton Boulevard is to loop the water system around Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital to provide sufficient redundancy to the hospital. Construction is planned to begin in 2023. This project is in included in the City of Rochester Hills FY 2023 - 2028 CIP. As of January 17, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
