The Kent County Purchasing Division on behalf of the City of Kentwood, is soliciting bids for complete removal of 35 trees and trimming of 85 trees all branches 8" diameter and larger at Jaycee Park, located at 1088 Gentian Dr SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. Funding is provided in part through a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The allowable on-site construction period for this project is 21 consecutive days, with all project activity completed by March 31, 2022. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 1/24/2023, 2 PM Each bid over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file a certified effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner and Landscape Architect reserve the right to reject any or all bids or any parts of the same, waive any irregularities, and to accept any bid in their own best interest
