This tender is for the supply, delivery, and unloading of Folding Lightweight Sign Stands on an as-needed basis. The contract will be for a two-year term, starting January 31, 2023 and ending December 31, 2024, with the option to renew for one additional year by mutual agreement. An estimated 400 sign stands will be ordered per year, and a sample will be required before the tender is awarded. Contract will be award to the lowest compliant bid which meet the requirements detailed within the attached Specifications for Item 1 of the tender documents. Prior to Contract award, the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure may consult with other departments and agencies of the Province of New Brunswick to obtain information on the Vendor's past performance within the previous five (5) years. Results from the aforementioned consultations that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the Vendor's bid. Award of contracts: no contract shall be awarded and no payment shall be made to a vendor unless authorized by the Minister or his delegates. The Minister may make an award to the preferred vendor conditional on the negotiation and acceptance of a detailed contract between the Province and the vendor. In such cases, should the detailed contract negotiations not be completed in a reasonable period of time, the Province reserves the right to discontinue negotiations with the vendor and subsequently enter into negotiations with the second preferred vendor.
