Project was awarded to arry Young Paving in the amount of $4,070,039.50. The City of Conroe will receive Competitive Sealed Proposals, electronically or delivered manually, in quadruplicate for the CSP 2022-02 Street Rehab - Service Center Area, located in Montgomery County, Texas. The amount of said check or bond will be forfeited to the Owner and the bank or surety shall be liable to the Owner for the amount in the event the successful proposer shall fail or refuse to enter into a contract or furnish bonds as hereafter required. The successful proposer must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas and approved by the Federal Government No CSP may in any way qualify, modify, substitute or change any part of the specifications or contract documents. Pursuant to Government Code Chapter 2269, subchapter D the City of Conroe may enter into a contract with the offeror meeting all the qualifications and specifications that submits the CSP that offers the best value to the City considering the selection criteria and weighted value set forth in the request for proposals and the ranking evaluation of the proposals received. The City reserves the right to reject any and all CSPs, award parts of bids and to waive informalities in submission of CSPs A. The following paragraphs describe the major components of the work to be completed under this Contract. This list shall not be construed as all-inclusive and shall not waive the Contractor's responsibility to provide all necessary components of the project, either stated or implied, in full accordance with the drawings and specifications. 1) Excavation and Removal a) Excavation - Excavation and Removal - remove and dispose of existing pavement material, gravel or soil to the subgrade level. Protect railroad ties and supporting base and subgrade structures from damages. Asphalt material will not be salvaged. b) Removal of concrete driveways - saw-cut at nearest joints, remove the portion of concrete pavement and curb, & gutter section. c) If soil condition below subgrade is unsuitable, notify the City and remove as directed and replace with cement stabilized sand compacted to 95% SPD. 2) Concrete Pavement - Royal College Hill Road a) Fast Track CRCP - construct fast track continuously reinforced concrete pavement per TxDOT Item 360. b) Material - use Class P Concrete with a minimum average compressive strength of 4,000 psi or a minimum average flexural strength of 570 psi at 28 days. Steel reinforcement shall be deformed steel of Grade 60 or better.
