Cleaning, repairing, and painting the 150,000-gallon elevated reservoir constructed in 1959 by Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Co. The project is scheduled to start on May 1, 2023 and be completed by June 12, 2023. Additional Description: The project includes the following work on the 150,000-gallon capacity reservoir. 1. Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting interior and exterior surfaces. Full containment is mandatory. The interior and exterior coatings are not considered lead-based paint. 2. Performing miscellaneous structure modifications. 3. Welding and grinding to remove scab marks, weld spatter, poor welds, and other surface irregularities or corrosion damage.
