The Package 3 contractor is responsible for constructing all aspects of the raw water pump station as shown on the contract drawings with the exception of items specifically excluded to be done by others. The work being done by others includes: 66" RW Pipeline at Dam Site - Package 4 (to be issued at a later date) Electrical, Security/Access and I&C - Package 5 Purchase of various Valves - Package 6 Purchase of 1250 HP horizontal split case pumps - Package 7 Material Testing (unless specifically called out for Package 3) - Package 8 RWPS Surge Tanks - Package 9 (to be issued at a later date) Maintenance Building - Package 10 (to be issued at a later date) RWPS Well Site Improvements - Package 11 (to be issued at a later date) The project includes: 1. A new 280-ft by 80-ft raw water pump station structure containing a 170-ft x 80-ft below grade pump room and a 110-ft x 80-ft at grade electrical room, control room, and storm shelter. a. Above grade walls will consist of precast panels, below ground walls will be cast in place concrete. Foundation will be drilled shafts. 2. Site civil works including grading, paving, and services utilities for the 350,000-SF pump station and future maintenance building site. 3. Approximately 500-LF of 66-inch diameter mortar lined steel suction pipe. 4. New process mechanical improvements inside the pump station consisting of 3 1,250 HP horizontal split case pumps with one additional pump train as a bid alternate (3 base bid, 1 additional alternative), steel piping, valves, and other miscellaneous appurtenances. 5. Coordination with new electrical improvements including VFDs, switchgear, 1 2,000kW 4160v generator with one additional 2,000kW 4160v generator as a bid alternate (1 base bid, 1 additional alternative), 1 480v generator, interior and exterior building lighting, and site lighting included under a separate proposal package #5. 6. Coordination with Package #5 contractor on new electrical improvements including VFDs with 1 VFD as bid alternate (3 base bid, 1 additional alternative), switchgear, 1 2,000kW 4160v generator with one additional 2,000kW 4160v generator as a bid alternate (1 base bid, 1 additional alternative), 1 480v generator, interior and exterior building lighting, site lighting, fire alarm system, security access and control, fiber optic duct banks and cabling, and fiber optic cabling in duct banks installed by other. 7. Coordination with Package #5 contractor on new instrumentation and control improvements including the new pump station, intake structure and valve vault; as well as integrating the surge tank system control panel provided by Package #9. 8. Coordination with an adjacent new maintenance building located within the same fence line as the pump station (to be constructed under a future bid package #10) 9.
