Site work and paving for a road / highway in Waimea, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project includes the construction of a 12-foot-wide shared use path designed for two-way travel of pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles authorized for use within County parks with new aluminum bleachers along Waiolama Canal between Pauahi Street and the Hilo Bayfront Soccer Field restrooms. Construction of 4-foot-wide walkway that connects the soccer field restrooms to the existing Hilo Bayfront Trail, construction of new accessible parking stalls near the western terminus of the trail (southwest corner of TMK (3) 2-2-007: 018) and an associated ADA-compliant walkway that connects them to the existing Hilo Bayfront Trail, implementation of Best Management Plans, restoration of all affected areas, and other related improvements.
