The Effingham County School Nutrition Program extends an invitation to bid on the purchase and distribution of Large Equipment. The items listed in the bid specifications will be awarded based on the lowest bottom line cost for all the items listed. It is the intention to award the contract to one vendor. The Food Service Equipment Contractor is expected to deliver, uncrate, set in place, removing all packaging from job site and make all final connections. FSMC will make a site visit to each location to ensure all proper space and utilities are available. The FSMC is to install and make sure equipment is fully operational as well as demonstrate proper use and care of equipment after installation is complete. There is no loading dock at the locations and if equipment is needed to move the items from the truck inside the building they must be provided by the vendor. The items will be delivered to three separate locations as listed in the bid specifications. No questions other than written will be accepted. The SFA will respond to the request, by letter, in the form of a written addendum if it is determined that all perspective bidders should have benefit of the clarification. No addendum will be issued within the (5) five-day period prior to the date of the bid opening. No response other than written will be binding upon the Effingham County School System. Any non-compliant bid offered as a result of a verbal response will be rejected. Any protest based on such a rejection will not be heard.
