Renovation of a medical facility in High Point, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,000-square-foot, two-story above grade medical facility.

This is an Informal Bid Process and there will NOT be a public opening for this project. Respondents or their sub-contractors must be licensed to perform all filed of required work in North Carolina. Participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses is encouraged. A Bid Deposit is NOT required for this Project. Guilford County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities Last Day for Questions January 31, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., Eastern Time All inquiries are to be submitted on Document Clarification Request Form located in Section 00215. Submit all inquiries to the Engineer scsingleton@skaeng.com with a copy to Guilford County project management kmcgee@guilfordcountync.gov and Purchasing DG_Purchasing@guilfordcountync.gov The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Removal and disposal of existing stone ballast and EPDM roof membrane exposing the existing thermal roof insulation. Demolition shall include metal flashings, perimeter coping, fascia, etc.. Removal and disposal of any existing damaged and deteriorated wood nailers and/or plywood sheathing. 3. Removal and disposal of existing roof curbs and other miscellaneous roof penetrations as shown on the Drawings. 4. General: Protection of existing roof and facade systems, facilities, furnishings, landscaping, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, etc., during all operations. 5. Provide and install new wood nailers as shown on the Drawings, as specified herein and as required for the installation of the new roofing system. 6. Provide and install new wood nailers to replace deteriorated nailers encountered during construction and/or to supplement wood nailer installation depicted on the Drawings. 7. Provide and install new plywood sheathing as shown on the Drawings, as specified herein and as required for the installation of the new roofing system. 8. Provide and install new plywood sheathing to replace deteriorated sheathing encountered during construction as depicted on the Drawings. 9. Mechanically attach the existing 2" thick Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) thermal roof insulation to meet FM 1-90 wind securement requirements as required prior to installation of new roof system. 10. Provide and install new adhered flat thermal insulation (Alternate No.1) as indicated on the Contract Drawings. 11. Provide and install new adhered thermal insulation protection layer as indicated by the Contract Documents. 12. Provide and install new fully adhered KEE single-ply membrane roofing over thermal insulation protection layer including all related flashings and accessories as indicated by the Contract Documents. 13. Provide and install new shop fabricated sheet metal flashings to include but not be limited to copings end caps, counterflashing, trim closures, curb closures, drip edge, and curb caps, etc. as shown on the Drawings, as specified herein and as required by the Membrane Manufacturer. 14. Provision and installation of new pre-manufactured fascia. 15. Salvage and reinstallation of existing pre-manufactured gas line supports. 16. Provision and installation of roof membrane manufacturer's approved walkpads at approximate layout shown on the roof plan. 17. Remove and replace existing vertical sealant joints between precast concrete wall panels at locations above Roof Area 2 and Roof Area 3 asindicated on the Contract Drawings and elsewhere as required to provide a positive barrier against passage of air and passage of moisture.
