Questions Should Be Received by Close of Business January 31, 2023..The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to conduct remediation activities at the VDOT Elko Materials Lab (EML). The principal project actions include, but are not limited to: 1.Design and installation of a support of excavation (SOE) system; 2.Excavation, transportation, and disposal of soil that is listed hazardous waste; 3.Dewatering the area of excavation followed by treatment and discharge of the water in compliance with the established Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) permit limits; and, 4.Excavation backfilling and site restoration.
