Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Pomona, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; and elderly care / assisted living facility.

This project is to provide funding for the design and construction of a Warming Center Facility. The County of Rockland is required to provide a Warming Center from the month of November through April for individual homeless persons. The Warming Center shall provide spaces for male and female sitting, male and female bathrooms, gender neutral bathrooms, common gathering and eating, food preparation and distribution, laundry washers and dryers and administrative supervisory office. The building shall be of conventional or pre -engineered construction. The project includes design services, construction, furnishings, furniture and equipment. This project is included in the Rockland County's FY 2024-2029 Budget CIP. As of May 8, 2024, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
