No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Iowa DOT for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination. The DOT highly recommends all contractors interested in this project attend the prebid/site visit meeting. Prior to bidding to ensure you have a good understanding of the project, size, and the opportunity to ask questions. The Nuclear Storage and Server & Communications Rooms listed on the plan will not be cleaned. LVP floors, dry mop and mop only. No harsh chemicals. See Appendix A - Janitor Task Schedule under hard surface floors. Cleaning is to be done five days a week. Floor plan is provided, see Appendix B located Contract Award The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for (five) additional years in twelve (12) month increments. Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Contract start date is yet to be determined.
