Sealed bids will be received by the City of Troy for constructing the following: ACADEMY STREET SCHOOL & GYM - ABATEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS For the City of Troy, Alabama Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked with the name and address of the Bidder, and clearly identified: SEALED BID: ACADEMY STREET SCHOOL & GYM - ABATEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS The general scope of work for this bid proposal is the abatement of the Environmental Health Hazards at the Academy Street School Classroom and Gymnasium buildings prior to renovation activities. In general, the Awarded Contractor will provide all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies and materials, and removal and disposal for: * Bat Guano Clean-up * Asbestos Abatement * Lead Based Paint Abatement * Mold & Mildew Clean-up. Questions will only be accepted from Bidders on the official Bid Documents Holders list. A written response will be return via email. No questions will be answered by telephone. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a Bid Bond as provided in the Bid Documents in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid amount, including alternates, (maximum of $10,000.00) with a satisfactory corporate surety qualified to do business in the State of Alabama or by a certified check made payable to the City of Troy, on a solvent bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid amount, including alternates (maximum of $10,000.00). The Bid Bond or certified check shall be security that the successful Bidder will, within thirty (30) calendar days or such other time specified by Owner from the award of the Bid, execute the Agreement and provide the required Payment and Performance Bonds, included in the Bid Documents and Certificate of Insurance.
