Description

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Carbondale, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of February 23, 2023, this project was awarded to B.C. Contracting, awarded amount is $150,836.38. The proposed improvement consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to construct Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk, Curb Ramps, Driveways, Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk Removal, Curb and Gutter Removal to eliminate barriers for the handicapped at specified locations throughout the City of Carbondale in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and as directed by the Engineer. This Project is also subject to the State of Illinois Job Works Jobs Program Act and the Illinois Works Apprentice Initiative. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of this Invitation for Bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Carbondale.
