Renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The intent of this project is to replace chiller #2, associated cooling tower, pumps and equipment at 2301 Midland Avenue in Scarborough, Ontario. The existing chiller plant located in the main building mechanical penthouse consists of 2 sets of chillers and cooling towers (Chiller set #1 and #2), associated pumps, piping and controls. Chiller set #2 is at the end of its life cycle. The facility is an occupied office building with laboratories and will remain occupied throughout construction. TIMELINE: RFQ for Contractors has closed; four (4) firms have prequalified. The Invitation to Bid to the prequalified firms will be issued April 2023. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
