Site work, paving and renovation of a civil project in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Sealed Bids will be received by the Purchasing Department of the Township of Woodbridge, for PARKSIDE PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS together with all appurtenances in accordance with Plans and Specifications on file with the Office of the Municipal Engineer. The project generally consists of the removal of the existing pump station wet well, valve chamber, piping and mechanical and electrical equipment and replacement with a new wet well, valve chamber, new pumping equipment, new piping and valves, and new controls and associated electrical improvements. The work also includes miscellaneous site work including removal and replacement of driveway and paved areas, new fence and other related work. Bidsfor this contract will be accepted by the Purchasing Department of the Township of Woodbridge, Memorial Municipal Building, 1 Main Street, Woodbridge, New Jersey until the scheduled time of the bid opening. Contract Specifications and Proposal Forms may be obtained at the Purchasing Department during the hours of 9:00 am to 4:30 pm starting Please email jennifer.burns@twp.woodbridge.nj.us or call 732-602-2335 to schedule pickup. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. Proposalsin the Contract Documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to Purchasing Agent, Township of Woodbridge. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of consent of surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township, and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds", U.S. Treasury Department, guaranteeing that if the proposal of the Bidder be accepted, they will furnish the bond set forth in Paragraph One of the Instructions to Bidders of the contract and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. The successful bidder shall be required to comply to the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. During the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended, and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Woodbridge, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits, or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. All labor shall be covered by an approved health and hospital insurance plan, and approved pension plan and an apprenticeship training program pursuant to standards established under the Department of Labor and Industry Act of 1948 (NJSA 34:1A-34, et seq.). A statement of Employee Benefits must be completed in order for the bid to be accepted. A statement of Employee Benefits should be included following the Statement of Ownership in the bid package. The attention of the Bidders is particularly directed to the following: "Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L., 1975, c.127" (N.J.A.C. 17:27). This project is partially funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Accordingly, the successful bidder shall be required to perform the work in accordance with the contract documents and requirements of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Award of this contract is subject to the approval of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The Municipal Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids which in its opinion will be in the best interest of the Township. Pumping Station improvements as indicated on the drawings: 1. Construction of a new wet well. 2. New gate valves and check valves in valve chamber. 3. New pumps (to include a spare pump). 4. Quick disconnects at wet well for electrical. 5. New rail systems for pumps. 6. New control panel and level sensing equipment. 7. Back up floats. 8. New water service. 9. Davit style crane for pump removal. B. Mobilization and site clearing as required to perform the work. C. Excavation and dewatering required to perform the work. D. Traffic control required to perform the work. E. Paving and site restoration, including but not limited to replacement of the fence/gate, re-grading, and pavement restoration. F. Bypass pumping required to perform the work. G. Cleanup and demobilization.
