Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Pelham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of October 30, 2023, the project has received funding, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Work of this Contract generally consists of the construction of a 1.5 million gallon per day (mgd) water treatment plant (WTP) for the existing surface water supply. The WTP will utilize coagulation, mixing, flocculation, dissolved air floatation (DAF), dual media filtration including granular activated carbon above sand, chlorine contact tank and clearwell, and chemical feed systems. Building components including HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, and electrical services shall be incorporated in the WTP. Other work shall include demolition of the existing water treatment facility, site work with exterior piping systems, connection to the sanitary sewer system, below ground tanks, and stormwater collection systems. All work shall be completed within 730 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed.
