Site work and paving for a library in Jeffersonville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a library; and for paving for a library.
CONTRACT No. WSPL-G-22 - GENERAL The contract consists of, but is not limited to include in the base bid asphalt repaving (+-6,700 sf) with drainage upgrades, retaining wall rehabilitation, general site grading, and site restoration. Project Completion Date: September 1st, 2023 Saw cutting of blacktop for sidewalk and or curb replacement o Grading, truing and compacting subbase o Providing geotextile o Providing and compacting base material (Item 4 gravel) o Provide adequate forming to allow for proper installation of concrete sidewalk o Provide concrete sidewalk with concrete o Providing concrete finishing, expansion joints, joint sealants, concrete sealer, etc., o Backfill and site restoration o Record as-built information (e.g., locations and depth of new curb, etc.) on the Contract Drawings and in supplementary notebooks as necessary, and provide to the Engineer at the completion work o Perform daily and final site cleanup Complete hardcopy sets of bidding documents may be obtained from may be obtained from REVplans, 28 Church Street, Unit 7, Warwick, NY 10990 Tel: 1-877-272-0216, upon depositing the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to Delaware Engineering, D.P.C. Cash deposits will not be accepted. Any Bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with REVplans and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. At the bid opening the Contractor must supply a BID GUARANTEE of not less than five percent (5%) of the TOTAL AMOUNT of the bid submitted. See Item 6 in Instructions to Bidders. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with the printer for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Owner as having obtained the Contract Documents. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents (see Exhibits) must be paid on this project; that the Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Contractor must also be aware that he must comply with the State wage rates under New York State Department of Labor PRC# 2022004329 , as well as Labor Law 220, section 220-h, which requires that on all public work projects of at least $250,000.00, all laborers, workers and mechanics on the site be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course. Bid proposals received after the date and time specified in the Invitation shall be considered unresponsive and will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bids will not be accepted via FAX. Bidders are advised not to rely on the Postal Service or any other mail delivery service for the timely and proper delivery of their bid proposals. In the event of a tie bid, the project will be rebid. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the openings of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigate the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Work will include but not be limited to: o Saw cutting of blacktop for matching grade to roadway and sidewalk areas o Removal and disposal of existing asphalt and subbase o Provide 4.0" (compacted depth) Hot mix asphalt TYPE 3 Binder. o Provide 2.0" (compacted depth) TYPE 6 Top for roadway top course construction. o All areas where new pavement meets existing pavement to be saw cut and tack coat applied o Provide trip tickets (or copies of trip tickets) and a written log summarizing the quantity and description of hot mix asphalt material delivered to the site for the contract. Log shall include information as shown on the Hot Mix Asphalt Log contained at the end of this section (contractor may photo copy and use the form or provide an equivalent form which contains the same information). Completed and comprehensive forms shall be submitted to the Engineer with the contractor's payment application. o Grading, truing and compacting subbase o Providing geotextile o Providing and compacting base material (Item 4 gravel) o Providing and compacting binder layer of asphalt o Providing and compacting top coat layer of asphalt o Backfill and site restoration o Record as-built information (e.g., locations and depth of new curb, etc.) on the Contract Drawings and in supplementary notebooks as necessary, and provide to the Engineer at the completion work o Perform daily and final site cleanup.
