The City of Taunton, Department of Procurement, in conjunction with the Office of Economic & Community Development soliciting bids from general contractors for construction of the Walker Park Renovations and West Water Street Parking Lot Improvement Project in accordance with documents prepared by GCG Associates, Inc. The Walker Park Renovation project is an approximately 600 feet long by 50 feet wide open space located at the corner of West Water Street and Plain Street, Taunton, MA. The renovation project involves installation of new 5'-wide concrete sidewalks, benches, seating areas, and a new gazebo area. Major items of construction for Walker Park include: concrete sidewalk construction, bench and seating area concrete pad construction, gazebo pad and structure construction, grading, and loam & seeding or mulch. A proposed additive alternate for the Walker Park Renovation Project is the installation of an irrigation system for the park. This additive work includes: new water service installation on West Water Street, installation of irrigation meter and control cabinets, associated electrical work, and irrigation/ sprinkler system installation. The West Water Street parking lot includes removal and replacement of hot mix asphalt parking area with new line striping, as well as electrical work for E/V parking and new bus shelter installation with associated electrical work The work is estimated to cost $380,000. No oral interpretation will be made to any bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents The successful bidder shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, and equipment, and perform all work required for the completion of this Contract.
