The classification of Contractor's license required in the performance of this Contract is a Class A , State of California Contractor s License in good standing. Pursuant to the prov i s i ons of Sect i on 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of Cal i fornia , the City has obtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in this locality for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the Contract from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations . The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount of the Contract. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City of Montclair to ensure performance under the Contract. All bids shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security : (1) A signed electronic bidder's bond by an admitted surety submitted via PlanetBids ; (2) A signed bidder's bond by an admitted surety insurer received by the City at the address set forth below; or (3) cash , a cashier's check , or certified check received by , and made payable to the City . The general items of work to be performed hereunder consist of : Installation of LED flashing STOP signs including posts, fastening hardware, back braces, straps and saddle brackets, and frame assemblies. The Engineer's estimate for the proposed project is $350,000. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to delete portions of the work, or to waive any defect or informality in any bid received.
