The City of Hudson, Wisconsin is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide construction management at risk services for the construction of a new Public Works Facility. The City of Hudson has identified the need to construct a new public works facility to accommodate our growing community. The city desires to evaluate options and keep the total project cost to $9 million, including land acquisition, site construction, and soft costs. Based on the needs of the city and the project budget, it's anticipated the building size to be 45,000-60,000 square feet. Various construction methods such as precast, pre-engineered steel and conventional building materials will be explored to develop a design solution that will meet the City's budget expectations. Cedar Corporations, from Menomonie, WI has been hired to provide A/E design services for the facility. Based on the project scope and anticipated design schedule, we anticipate the project being ready for bid in the summer of 2023 for construction in 2024. The project consists of site work and construction. The intended purpose for the facility is to provide administrative and equipment storage areas for the Hudson Public Works Department. Consideration will be limited to firms which have demonstrated successful experience in construction management at risk (CMAR) services of a similarly scoped project for private or public-sector owners.
