Saving Project...

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Orangeburg, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Blowers at the Sewer District induce air into our biological process at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Orangeburg, NY. Based on some process modifications to help meet our NYSDEC SPDES permit, we have been running an additional blower on the B-side of the plant. This additional blower was our spare. This project would evaluate the size of our blowers and help determine the necessary aeration requirements. We would also do a building modification since currently we have to disassemble some blowers in order to get others out of the current doorway for repair. Under the current plan outlined below, it will take approximately four years to complete the project. As of June 18, 2024, this project is included in the Rockland County 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
