The UH Manoa Office of Admissions Welcome Center is the main location to host and greet prospective students and their families. It is the central staging area where students will visit the University of Hawaii at Manoa for a campus tour. Each year we can see over 3,000 individual families that will visit the university with the intention on attending the campus. The Welcome Center serves as the first impression that students and family members have of UH Manoa, and the Office of Admissions is committed to making this a lasting and positive impression so students can see themselves as future Rainbow Warriors. With the goal for the UH Manoa to increase enrollment, it is important for our Welcome Center to be up to date with a modern look and technology that will impress our families when they visit the campus. The current Office of Admissions lobby will be renovated to also increase the amount of space to entertain our incoming guests. This space will allow the Welcome Center to be flexible to handle different group sizes and increase our offerings to guests. The Admissions Welcome Center must continue to operate during demolition construction. The Design-Build Project budget is anticipated to be between $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. It is expected that the Design-Builder will maximize the entire budget to propose a complete, fully functional project that will exceed the minimum project program requirements. The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this RFP, Part 1 is 4:00 P.M., HST on February 3, 2023.
