The New York Power Authority Invites You to Submit a Proposal to Furnish All Supervision, Labor, Materials and Equipment (Except for Services, Materials and/or Equipment to Be Furnished by Others as Specifically Referred to in the Contract Documents) to Provide Consulting Services for Future Initiatives and Activities Related to the Authoritys Transmission Planning and Development. The New York Power Authority ("the Authority") seeks to retain consultant(s) with a broad range of expertise to provide on-call transmission consulting services for future initiatives and activities within the Authority's Business Development and Transmission Planning groups for a period between 2023 to 2028, pending approval. The New York Power Authority ("the Authority") is a corporate municipal instrumentality and political subdivision of the State of New York. We are the nation's largest state power organization and one of New York's leading electricity suppliers. We provide some of the lowest-cost electricity in New York State, operating 18 generating facilities and more than 1,400 circuit-miles of transmission lines. Our primary business is to provide lower cost energy for the benefit of the people of New York State. The Authority does so by constructing, owning, and safely operating electric generation and transmission facilities, purchasing lower cost out-of-state energy, and promoting conservation without resorting to tax revenues, state funds or credit. The Authority sells energy to industries, to utilities for resale to their customers, and to authorized public bodies.
