Special Provisions for 2023 Mowing Season Rural Routes Projects will have three (3) full cycles (Type 3) with the first cycle beginning in late May; The mowing height will be 6-10 inches; Trimming and Litter Removal will be performed on those county or route projects that have them as a work item;These special provisions may conflict with the original terms and conditions; for 2023 these provisions shall take precedence. Master Agreement Contract for the Mowing and Trimming of Roadside Turf on Highway Right-of-Way areas for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways on various routes in Meade County within District 4.The Master Agreement will be for the initial period beginning upon award and expiring December 31, 2023. The term "Department", as applied to this Master Agreement will be understood to be synonymous with the terms, "Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, or Department of Highways". The term "Vendor" will be understood to be synonymous with the term "Contractor" Deadline for written questions 1/25/2023 by 3:00pm. All questions shall be submitted in writing by the date and time specified. No questions shall be accepted after the date/time listed unless the question(s) is considered material to the procurement. Oral questions will not be accepted at any time except for bid procedural clarifications. The Commonwealth will respond to salient questions in writing by issuing an Addendum to the Solicitation. Commonwealth's response to written questions The Addendum shall be posted to the Commonwealth's Portal. 1/26/2023 by 7:00pm. Contrary to Section 102.09 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, neither a bid bond nor a performance bond shall be required. The Commonwealth of Kentucky reserves the right to renegotiate any terms and/ or conditions as may be necessary to meet requirements for the extended period. The vendor will be advised of any proposed revisions prior to the renewal periods. In the event proposed revisions cannot be agreed upon, either party shall have the right to withdraw without prejudice from either exercising the option or continuing the contract in an extended period.
