Solon Middle School 2023 Masonry Restoration above Roof Line Project 6835 SOM Center Road. The project estimate is Base Bid:$ 152,000.00, Alternate Bid 1 : $ 59,000.00, Alternate Bid 2: $68,000.00 The Work includes - Clay brick and CMU removal and replacement, pointing, through wall flashing installation, cleaning, sealant removal and replacement, control joint widening, control joint installation, scupper replacement, sheet metal removal and replacement, roof and flashing removal and replacement, etc. A lift is to be provided, by the Contractor, to supply access to all roof and wall areas throughout the project for the Owner and their representatives. It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids and Alternates as awarded shall start on or about June 5, 2023, and be completed no later than August 4, 2023, unless an extension of time is granted by the Owner. A fee of $1,000.00 per day may be charged for work not complete by August 4, 2023. In addition, The Contractor can be billed $110.00/hr. for all Consulting hours that result as a result of work not completed by August 4, 2023. These Consulting hours may be deducted from the Prime Contractor's contract balance. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTEE meeting the requirements of Section 153.571 and 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. If in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest responsible bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
