Site work for a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Replace Water Mains with New 8-inch Diameter - 1) Pavement cutting, excavation and maintaining trench for water main and valve structure installations located on new water main. 2) Removing and disposing of existing pipe and appurtenances. 3) Abandon and/or removing existing service connections. 4) All on-site training by manufacturer's representatives. 5) Installing new cement lined, class 52 ductile iron pipe. 6) Installing corporation stops and taps as specified. 7) Installing fittings, thrust blocks, bends, restrained joints, frost proofing, and other appurtenances as specified. 8) Installing steel casing pipe as specified. 9) Protecting and supporting existing utilities. 10) Installing pipe bedding, backfilling, installing subbase, compacting as required, and installing concrete subbase. 11) Erosion control required for performing the Work. 12) All procedures related to testing and final acceptance, including associated repairs and/or replacement of materials due to defects. 13) Assisting in chlorination and flushing procedures. 14) Mobilization. 15) Replacement of pavement markings including crosswalks, centerlines, and stop bar in kind. 16) Saw cutting of pavements, curbs, and sidewalks. 17) Site restoration including seeding and mulching. 18) Repair of pavement, curbing, and sidewalks. Replace Water Mains with New 12-inch Diameter 1. Scope of Work a. Costs shall include all labor, material, and equipment associated with the following items: 1) Pavement cutting, excavation and maintaining trench for water main and valve structure installations located on new water main. 2) Removing and disposing of existing pipe and appurtenances. 3) Abandon and/or removing existing service connections. 4) All on-site training by manufacturer's representatives. 5) Installing new cement lined, class 52 ductile iron pipe. 6) Installing corporation stops and taps as specified. 7) Installing fittings, thrust blocks, bends, restrained joints, frost proofing, and other appurtenances as specified. Cured-in-Place-Pipe Structural Lining 1. Scope of Work a. Costs shall include all labor, material, and equipment associated with the following items: 1) Pavement cutting, excavation and maintaining trench for water main and valve structure installations. 2) Removing and disposing of existing pipe and appurtenances. 3) All on-site training by manufacturer's representatives. 4) Installing new cured-in-place structural pipe liner. a. Two polyester jackets and epoxy resin b. Per ASTM F1216 c. Per ASTM F1743 d. Class IV structural liner e. Operating pressure up to 150 psi. f. NSF / ANSI Standard 61, UL, WRAS 1) Installing fittings, thrust blocks, bends, restrained joints, frost proofing, bulkheads, and other appurtenances as specified. 2) Protecting and supporting existing utilities. 3) Installing pipe bedding, backfilling, installing subbase, compacting as required, and installing concrete subbase. 4) Erosion control required for performing the Work. 5) All procedures related to testing and final acceptance, including associated repairs and/or replacement of materials due to defects. 6) Assisting in chlorination and flushing procedures. Temporary Bypass Water Mains, Hydrants, and Service Connections for Water Mains to be Replaced - 1) Providing bypass plans for review by the City, including revisions as necessary for final approval. 2) Installing, maintaining, and disconnecting after use all temporary water mains, service connections and hydrants. 3) Ramping required for vehicles going over temporary mains/hoses. 4) Disinfecting, flushing, and sampling of temporary mains. 5) Temporary trenching as required for ADA ramps and intersections as called for on the Contract Drawings and in the Specifications. Remove and Replace Hydrant with New 6-inch Hydrant Assembly 1. Scope of Work a. Cost shall include all labor, material, and equipment associated with the following items: 1) Removing and disposing of the existing hydrant assemblies. 2) Installing new hydrant assemblies complete, including tees, 6-inch ductile iron pipe, fittings, auxiliary valves, blocking and appurtenances as specified. 3) Excavation and protection of excavation. 4) The use of compressed air (air knifing) excavation as required. 5) Saw cutting of pavements, curbs, and sidewalks. 6) Installing bedding, thrust blocks, backfilling, installing subbase, andcompacting as required. 7) All procedures related to disinfecting, flushing, testing, and final acceptance. 8) Site restoration including seeding and mulching. 9) Repair of pavement, curbing, and sidewalks. Replace Water Service Connections with New 1-inch (Long Side)- 1) Removing and disposing of existing water service connection. 2) Install new copper water service connection at size specified on the Contract Drawings. 3) Removing and replacing existing valve box as specified. 4) Excavation and protection of excavation. 5) The use of compressed air (air knifing) excavation as required. 6) Saw cutting and/or boring of pavements, curbs, and sidewalks. 7) All procedures related to testing and final acceptance. 8) Installing new curb stop with boxes. 9) Installing pipe bedding, backfilling, installing subbase, and compacting as required. 10) Site restoration including seeding and mulching as required. 11) Repair of pavement, curbing, and sidewalks. : Replace Water Service Connections with New 1-inch (Short Side) 1. Scope of Work: a. Cost shall include all labor, material, and equipment associated with the following items: 1) Removing and disposing of existing water service connection. 2) Install new copper water service connection at size specified on the Contract Drawings. 3) Removing and replacing existing valve box as specified. 4) Excavation and protection of excavation. 5) The use of compressed air (air knifing) excavation as required. 6) Saw cutting and/or boring of pavements, curbs, and sidewalks. Replace Water Service Connection: 1- 1/2 -inch Copper 1. Scope of Work: a. Cost shall include all labor, material, and equipment associated with the following items: 1) Removing and disposing of existing water service connection. 2) Install new copper water service connection at size specified on the Contract Drawings. 3) Removing and replacing existing valve box as specified. 4) Excavation and protection of excavation. 5) The use of compressed air (air knifing) excavation as required. 6) Saw cutting of pavements, curbs, and sidewalks. 7) Site restoration including seeding and mulching as required. 8) All procedures related to testing and final acceptance. 9) Installing new curb stop with boxes FOR THE DIVISION OF WATER FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC UTILITIES, AS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE 610-2022, PASSED AUGUST 10, 2022. LAST DAY FOR QUESTI ONS February 7, 2023 by 12:00 p.m 30% CSB Participation Completion- November 1, 2023. project description 1. south marginal road (bypass): the south marginal road watermain renewal project involves installing a cured-in-place-pipe (c.i.p.p) structural lining into the existing 1,656 lf of 12" watermain including the installation of anode package to help prevent pipe corrosion. a 20 lf section of the existing 12" watermain along the east side of east 55th street will be removed and replaced within the same trench. a 12 lf section of the existing 12" watermain in marquette street will be removed and replaced within the same trench. various minor sections of the existing 12" watermain will have to be replaced along south marginal road to facilitate the existing hydrant and gate valve replacements. incorporation of a temporary bypass system will be required. the project limits are between marquette street to the west and east 55th street to the east. 2. west 112th street: the west 112th street watermain renewal project involves abandoning in-place 1,174 lf of existing 6" watermain to the west and replacement in a new trench to the east with 1,174 lf of new 8" watermain. an 81 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the franklin boulevard intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. a 73 lf section of the existing 10" watermain in the detroit avenue intersection will be removed and replaced with new 12" water main. incorporation of a temporary bypass system will be required for the watermain replacement work in detroit road. the project limits are between franklin boulevard the south and detroit avenue to the north. 3. lausche avenue (bypass): east 60th - east 61st st: the lausche avenue watermain renewal project involves abandoning in-place 391 lf of existing 6" watermain to the southeast and replacement in a new trench to the northwest with 396 lf of new 8" watermain. a 45 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the east 60th intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. incorporation of a temporary bypass system will be required. norwood rd - east 64th st: the lausche avenue watermain renewal project involves abandoning in-place 580 if of existing 6" watermain to the southeast and replacement in a new trench to the northwest with 590 lf of new 8" watermain. an 60 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the norwood rd intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. a 50 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the east 64th intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. incorporation of a temporary bypass system will be required. 4. east 61st street (bypass): the east 61st st watermain renewal project involves abandoning in-place 1191 lf of existing 6" watermain to the east and replacement in a new trench to the west with 1176 lf of new 8" watermain. a 53 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the bonna ave intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. a 41 lf section of the existing 8" watermain in the saint clair intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" water main. incorporation of a temporary bypass system will be required.
