The project sites are located as follows: C-14(852) - on Kathol Avenue between Highway 84 and 12th Street; C-14(853) - on 898 Road between Highway 81 and 558 Avenue; C-14(854) - on 889 Road between High way 57 a nd 564 Avenue; C-14(855) - on 559 Avenue between Highway 20 and 867 Road, all in Cedar County, Nebraska. The projects are referred to as "Cedar County 2023 Asphalt' and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-14(852) - approximately 0.15 miles of 8" asphaltic concrete, type "SPR" on subgrade preparation; C-14(853) approximately 1.7 miles of pulverized asphalt base with 8" asphaltic concrete overlay, type "SPR"; C-14(854) approximately 0.9 miles of class i milling with 3" asphaltic concrete overlay, type "SPR'; and C-14(855) - approximately 0.7 miles of class I milling with 3" asphaltic concrete overlay, type "SPR". Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Cedar County Treasurer, Cedar County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date for each project with its Bid Proposal. he desired completion date for all sites is September 30, 2023. The Contractor will be allowed twenty (20) calendar days for C-14(852), thirty-five (35) calendar days for C-14(853), twenty (20) calendar days for C-14(854), and twenty (20) calendar days for C-14(855). The required completion date for each site will be the earlier of the date indicated in the bid proposal or the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days for that site. Additional days due to weather may began ted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Cedar County Board of Commissioners. The Cedar County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Acts competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.
