The Lyons Township High School will receive sealed bids at the District Office, 100 South Brainard Avenue, La Grange, Illinois 60525 for Lyons Township High School 2023 Asbestos Abatement Bidding Documents have been prepared and will be administered by Analytical Design Group, Springfield, Illinois. The Base Bid work includes the following: Base Bid - North Campus - Glovebag Removal of all asbestos containing pipe fittings from the Library and the Library Penthouse. Removal of four (4) 22 metal panels with an asbestos containing coating from Library Penthouse. Base Bid - South Campus - Glovebag Removal of asbestos containing pipe fittings from the J Wng Penthouse Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et.seq. 3. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid. All Bidders are advised that the law concerning prevailing wage rates must be complied with. Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the office of the State of Illinois, Department of Labor or on their website. Bidders must be prequalified with the State of Illinois, Department of Public Health and meet the requirements of the latest edition of the Illinois Asbestos Abatement Act and Rules and Regulations. Bidders must be prepared to submit evidence of prequalification with the Department of Public Health and a current audited financial statement to the Office of the Superintendent upon request of the Owner or Specialist. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of the Specifications. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the bid made payable to Lyons Township High School. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price on prescribed forms within 5 days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bonds shall be by duly authorized company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted.
