Reference Number: 20057997 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2025-04-07 The aim of the project is to replace the old part of St-Jean-de-Bégin school with a new building. The work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a new two-storey school, rehabilitation of the existing gymnasium area and demolition of the old school section. Civil: Site preparation and finishing, asphalting of schoolyard, installation of fencing Structure: Hybrid exposed timber and steel Architecture: Lightweight exterior cladding and masonry. Flat roof with elastomer membrane. Sprinklered building. Mechanical: Hot-water heating system (aerothermal and electric), heated slab and ventilation. Special conditions: Asbestos removal in existing areas. Phase 1 - NEW SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION: - Construction of an extension (new school), including work required for utility connections. - Exterior landscaping of the new schoolyard. Phase 2 - DEMOLITION AND REFITTING: - Partial refitting of the existing building (gymnasium area), including asbestos removal. - Demolition of buildings (former school section), including asbestos removal. Phase 3 - VESTIARY CONSTRUCTION: - Construction of an extension (locker room area), including openings in the existing building to communicate with the new extension. - Site restoration. 2. Demolition and redevelopment work will be carried out in asbestos-free conditions. 3. The worksite is located at 108 Rue Tremblay, Bégin QC G0V 1B0.
