The Parks & Grounds Maintenance Branch of the City of Ottawa has a requirement for qualified contractors to provide all labour, equipment, and materials for the provision of Shrub Bed Maintenance Services at City parks, boulevards, roadsides, and other City owned properties in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications of RFT No. 15223-98836-T04. The following equipment shall be a minimum requirement for use by each crew: - One (1) gas or battery operated backpack or hand held blower - Two (2) gas or battery operated hedge trimmers or gas or battery operated pole hedge trimmers as required - One (1) Wheelbarrow - Hand weeding tools - Hand pruning tools - Mulching tools - Rakes - Shovels - Brooms - Garbage Bags - Any and all safety apparel/equipment The period of contract shall be for the 2023 spring/summer/fall, from approximately 15 April to 15 November. The City may, at its discretion, extend the period of contract for up to three (3) additional one season periods subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and provided the contract pricing, terms and conditions for the extended period are acceptable to the City and the Contractor.
