The State of Texas, by and through Texas Southern University (TSU), seeks competitive sealed proposals to qualified firms to provide elevator modernization in our Science Building in accordance with the specifications contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP). All inquiries shall be submitted in writing (in Word format) via email to Mr. Thomas Britt at thomas.britt@tsu.edu by 12:00 noon Central time on Thursday, February 2, 2023 A. Modernize one passenger elevator and one freight elevator scope of work: Install new hall call fixture and lanterns Replace existing car operating panel with new Replace existing obsolete controlled with micro-processor-based control system that will be field programmable Modify existing door operator with new solid-state type with closed loop feedback control Replace existing DC motor with AC type motor Furnish and install new car lantern
