**As of March 17,2023, project was awarded to Clayton Homes, awarded amount is $97,779.40..** NOTICE is hereby given that the County of Webb is seeking to select and award a contract to the bidder that can provide competitive pricing for the removal of existing mobile home unit and install one (1) new mobile home unit that meets the specifications required for each unit as stipulated in the enclosed bid price sheets. The Webb County Self-Help Center will carry out housing rehabilitation and housing reconstruction activities for the service area colonia of Ranchitos 359 East located on State Highway 359 approximately five (5) miles outside the City of Laredo to improve the quality of life for Colonia residents living within the targeted areas. In part, the purpose of the assistance is to provide a decent, safe, and sanitary housing environment for residents by rehabilitation/reconstruction of standard, single family, owner-occupied dwelling units. Webb County is requesting unit pricing per specification and will award this contract approximately thirty (30) days after official bid opening date or before. This solicitation will comply with the Texas Local Government Code, Sub-Chapter C. (Competitive Bidding in General), Section 262.021 (County Purchasing Act). Question Cuttoff Date & Time 1/30/2023 06:00:00 PM (ET) Bidders must submit with their bid proposal a bid security for five (5%) percent of total bid amount and must be executed with a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas. Bid security is required in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.032 (Bid or Performance Bond; Payment under Contract). All Bids formally received by the Purchasing Agent in accordance with the schedule attached herein are irrevocable and cannot be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days following the date scheduled for the opening of the Bid(s). ***PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY REQUIRE BOTH A PAYMENT AND/OR A PERFORMANCE BOND FROM THE CONTRACTOR.*** A Performance Bond is required for construction work if the contract is in excess of $100,000 and a Payment Bond is required if a construction contract is in excess of $25,000 in statutory compliance with applicable provisions of the Texas Local and Government Code. The awarded Contractor shall supply the required Performance/Payment bonds to the Webb County Civil Legal Department within Seven (7) days of execution of the Construction Agreement or not later than two (2) working days prior the date of the scheduled pre-construction meeting which shall be the "DEADLINE" for compliance and which both parties have mutually agreed to as an "Express Condition Precedent" to Webb County's contractual terms and conditions Webb County reserves the right to reject any and all ITB, to waive informalities in the ITB process, or to terminate the ITB process at any time, if deemed in the best interest for Webb County. Should all Bids exceed the allocated Project Grant Budget(s), the County also reserves the right to negotiate with all bidders and/or reject and rebid the project accordingly. The service areas include colonias of Ranchitos 359 East and Pueblo Nuevo located on State Highway 359 approximately five (5) miles outside the City of Laredo.
