As of March 31, 2023, project was awarded but awarded amount is not available. Estimate is $250,000 - $300,000 Sealed bids for the construction of DOOR AND WINDOW REPLACEMENT AT TASSIN ST. SITE, AT THE WHITE CASTLE HOUSING AUTHORITY, White Castle, LA, will be received. This project is funded under the Capital Fund Program of the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. The general scope of work for this project includes Door and Window Replacement at 34 duplex apartments at Tassin St. Site, at the White Castle Housing Authority. The work will be bid in a Base Bid and an Additive Alternate Bid. Contractors are required to visit the site prior to submitting their bids and should make appointments to do so by calling the Housing Authority Office at 225-545-3967. Attention is called to the insurance requirements and to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum wages that must be paid on this project, as noted in the Specifications. EMPLOYMENT OF FEMALE AND/OR MINORITY INDIVIDUALS AND SUB-CONTRACTORS: The attention of the Contractor(s) proposing to submit a bid on this project is expressly called to the interest and desire of the Housing Authority, that female and minority individuals, particularly those residing in or near the housing developments of the Authority, be given preference for positions of new employment. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid for the Base Bid and made payable without condition to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract for the project. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond or Irrevocable Bank Letter of Credit written as described in the in the Bid Documents for this project. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Any contractor and/or sub-contractor whose bid exceeds $50,000.00 shall be licensed in accordance with current statutes of Louisiana Law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La.
