Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and educational facility.
Eliza Chappell School - Fencing & Concrete Installation Provide Labor and Materials: Install New Fencing & Replace landscape spaces with concrete Along the Asphalt Walkway from parking lot to Playground. 1) Fabricate and install 160 linear ft of 4' high wrought iron fencing to match existing style with 3 ADA compliant width double gates: 1 at each endpoint and 1 for lunchroom entrance. 2) Set all posts in 48" of concrete. 3) New fence to be purchased to match or primed and painted to match existing fencing. 4) Relocate and attach the existing playground entrance Double Gate to newly installed fencing. 5) Pave existing grass patch areas from Parking lot to playground's end point pass the playground entrance. 6) Work may be performed before and during school hours. 7) Ensure work area(s) are maintained at all times and foster a safe working environment. 8) School entrances, school parking lots and public ways must remain safe and accessible during construction. 9) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 10) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 11) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 12) Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on a) SECTION 32 31 19 Exterior Improvements: Decorative Metal Fences and Gates b) SECTION 03 30 00 Cast-In-Place Concrete c) SECTION 03 30 53 Concrete: MISCELLANEOUS CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE 13) Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day. 14) If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. 15) Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. 16) All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. 17) Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. 18) All trash must be removed off-site by the contractor. 19) Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. 20) All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing General Contractors Over/Under $1.5M (Category A & B) ONLY Questions Due Date: Jan 19th 2023, 3:30 PM CST The proposal shall be submitted with the attached Bid Cover Sheet completed in its entirety. o Warranty information, when applicable, shall also be included & submitted. o All work to be performed during normal working hours. o If bid price is over $25,000 or more, bidder must be signatory to relevant union, per terms of the Various Trades Contract and Project Labor Agreement. o If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid. Each Bidder must include in their Bid the premium cost for the performance and payment Bond in the full amount of their contract, when the project is over $50,000. If the Bidder fails to furnish the performance bond within seven (7) days after acceptance of the Bidder's Bid, by the Board, the Bid acceptance maybe rescinded, and the Bidder maybe precluded from further Bidding with the Board. The performance Bond must be issued by a surety acceptable to the Board and Licensed by the State of Illinois.
