The scope of work includes all supervision, labor, material, and equipment necessary to upgrade at NRHA Diggs Town Recreation Center Repairs, 1401 Melon Street, Norfolk VA 23523. The work for this project includes but not limited to cleaning soot from interior surfaces, demolition, tectum roof deck, asphalt shingles roofing, glazing, acoustical ceilings, painting, gymnasium equipment, mechanical systems, electrical and the full scope of work is described in the Contract Documents. A certified check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of credit, payable to the order of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, negotiable U. S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, color, sex, or nation origin, and comply with the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and of Executive Order 11246. The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. In submitting these Bids, the Bidder understands that the right is reserved by the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority to reject any and all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed, telegraphed or delivered to the undersigned, the undersigned agrees to guarantee their bid price at least 120 days.
