The purpose of this project is to work with the County, the municipalities involved, and the Finger Lakes Railway (FGLK) to identify existing and potential sites for rail enabled industrial development sites including on the Norfolk Southern Railroad line from Geneva to Lyons, assess the transportation infrastructure to support their development as well as zoning preparedness. The project will also study the feasibility of relocating the FGLK rail yard from near the Seneca Lake waterfront and study the relocation of the interconnection between that yard and the remainder of the FGLK rail network to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety in downtown Geneva. Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 12% The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
