The project consists of re-pointing, repair, and replacement of existing brick masonry at the two buildings named above and as described in the bid documents. A single-prime bid is sought. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for opening of the bids or the authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered. An overview of the proposed project will be presented followed by a tour of the two buildings to obtain first-hand knowledge of services to be performed, to review existing conditions, and to obtain independent measurements and observations, prior to submitting a bid. No other observation of the project site will be provided for this project. Bids must be submitted on original copies of the Bid Form in the project specifications and must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidders Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principals Bid be accepted and a Contract be awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within 10 days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principals Bid and a Contractors Bond as required by law and the regulations and determi!nations of North Dakota State Hospital. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in the full amount of the contract. Each Bidder is responsible for read!ing and becoming thoroughly familiar with the project's Contract and Bidding Documents. Failure of any Bidder to understand the bidding or contract documents does not relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to their Bid.
