Bids are invited for the New Ground Storage Tank At Water Plant 2 Project as described in the specifications, including new coated, bolted ground storage tank, existing ground storage tank demolition and associated appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Fayette County WCID - MH or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined Department of Labor prevailing wage rates for Fayette County, Texas contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the District for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Project shall be completed within one-hundred sixty-five (165) consecutive calendar days. Basis of award will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides goods or services using the following criteria: the proposal price; . the historical quality of the bidders goods or services; and the bidder's past responsible performance, safety and working relationship with the District and other entities
