Remodeling of an educational facility in Overland Park, Kansas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a three-story above grade educational facility.

Johnson County Community College is soliciting bids for the renovation of the 1st Floor and a new fire suppression sprinkler system that will be added (on all three levels and penthouse) in the General Education Building (GEB) on the JCCC main campus. The existing building is a 3 story concrete structure. Exterior walls are brick on metal stud walls. Existing interior walls are generally 3 5/8" or 6" metal stud to structure with gyp sheathing to 6" above ceiling creating an open plenum return air system. Interior renovation of first floor will see renovation existing office suites into new space for student services on the first floor of the General Education Building (GEB). A New Fire Suppression sprinkler system will be added throughout the GEB on all three levels and penthouse. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Project area is separated into Phase 1 and Phase 2 work. 5 alternates are to be include all within phase 2. Reference drawings for defined scopes of alternates. The College intends to contract for the interior renovation of first floor existing office suites into new space for student services in the General Education Building (GEB) on the JCCC main campus. In addition, a new fire suppression sprinkler system will be added throughout the GEB on all three levels and penthouse. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.
