Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The general nature of the work is as follows: The West Des Moines Community Schools is planning an addition and renovation to Valley Southwoods Freshman High School to provide curriculum programs related to the career and technical education. There are two bidding packages. The building package for this project was awarded in January of 2022. This scope and bid package includes acquisition and installation of both the Culinary Arts and Food Service Equipment and Career and Technical Education Lab Equipment. Submittals may start as soon as the contract is awarded. Contractor shall coordinate all on-site work with both school district and the building general contractor, Core Construction. Phase 1 work shall be substantially complete by August 21, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Questions and clarifications pertaining to the Bidding Documents prior to the bid must be made in writing via email by 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, to Shive-Hattery Inc.
