Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Melbourne, Iowa. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The Iowa County Highway Department has received funding from the Surface Transportation Bridge Program under STP-Bridge and BIL. The County is accepting proposals for Consultant Engineering Services for replacement of functionally obsolete and structurally deficient County Highway and Town Road Bridge Improvement projects. To be eligible for consideration, the proposer must be on the Wisconsin Department of Transportations current Roster of Eligible Engineering Consultants. The successful Consultant(s), the County, the Townships of Arena and Wyoming, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will enter into multi-party Design Services Engineering Contract. The County anticipates to award two contracts under this RFP. Contract 1 will be for two rural bridge improvement projects on CTH G over the Pecatonica River crossing in the Town of Mifflin CTH E over the East Branch of the Pecatonica River in the Town of Linden. Contract 2 will be for two rural bridge replacement projects on Lakeview Road over Sneed Creek in the Town of Wyoming. Frame Road over West Branch of Blue Mounds Creek in the Town of Arena. As of October 4, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
