A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Town of Fairfield (Town), on behalf of its Department of Public Works (DPW), is seeking competitive bids from qualified contractors to provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete restroom, HVAC, and kitchen renovations at the Bigelow Senior Center. Location- 100 Mona Terrace Fairfield, CT 06824 The project includes three (3) distinct individual project area renovations or upgrades within the existing building. For further detail, please refer to the specifications outlined in the contract documents prepared by Silver/Petrucelli + Associates. Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and all else necessary for the: 1. Renovation and upgrade of six (6) existing restrooms. Work is to include abatement where needed. Contractors are to utilize the Limited Due Diligence Hazardous Building Materials Survey Report prepared by Langan CT, Inc., New Haven. This report is included in the contract documents. 2. Replacement of three (3) existing rooftop units, including new controls and transition ductwork from the new units to the existing ductwork. 3. Renovation and upgrade of the existing kitchen area. Contractors should note that any renovation/upgrade work concerning the kitchen area should be captured within the kitchen renovation/upgrade pricing. For example, the kitchen hook and makeup air unit. This project is being funded by an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant. After Review of All Factors, Terms, and Conditions, Including Price, the Purchasing Authority of the Town of Fairfield Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, or Any Part Thereof, or Waive Defects in Same, or Accept Any Proposal Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the Town of Fairfield. The BID BOND furnished, as bid security, must be duly executed by the bidder as principal. It must be in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total estimated bid, as guarantee that, in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, the bidder will, within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond. The successful bidder, within seven (7) business days after notification of award, will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Bonds provided by a company authorized to issue such bonds in the State of Connecticut, or Certified Check or properly executed Irrevocable Letter of Credit equal to a hundred percent (100%) of the award.
