The purpose of this invitation to receive bids is to solicit bids from qualified contractors, to reinstall lightning protection system on buildings A & B. Project located on the roof at the Sheriffs Office Detention Center, located at 200 S. Court Street, Yuma, Arizona, 85364. Addenda to Request for Bids: If issued, any addenda will be faxed, mailed, e-mailed or otherwise delivered to all who are known by the Sheriff to have received a complete set of Bid documents, and to offices where Bid documents have been filed for review purposes. It is the responsibility of each Contractor to ascertain that he has received all addenda issued by telephoning the office identified in the Notice to Contractors as the location where Bid documents are available prior to submitting his Bid. Submitters shall acknowledge all addenda in the appropriate location within their submission. Failure to acknowledge receipt of Addenda shall render the proposal nonresponsive and it will be rejected. Questions/Requests for Clarification: Contractors must submit any questions about this solicitation no later than Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 12 noon (local time). A background check will be required for any person participating in a site tour or working in facilities and/or properties. The background forms can be requested via email at Steve.Mendoza@ycso.yumacountyaz.gov and MUST be submitted & person MUST pass their background check Ninety-Six (96) hours (weekdays) prior to being on-site. Contract Award: The Sheriff intends to award a contract to the selected qualified Contractor by February 28, 2023. Anticipated Start Date: March 20, 2023 Competition Date: The awarded Contractor shall commence work under this project once receiving a Notice to Proceed ("NTP") and shall fully complete all work under the project within 14 consecutive calendar days (including weekend and/or holidays). c. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the contractor will enter into a contract to perform the proposal in accordance with the plans and specifications. The conditions and provisions of the surety bid bond regarding the surety's obligations shall follow on the form attached below.
