As of March 7, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The City of Quincy's MR 662 Project consists of reconstructing 436 feet of North Avenue from Locust St. to the north. The work includes 264 tons of hot-mix asphalt, 344 sq yards of PCC driveways, 872 feet of PCC gutter, 124 sq yds of 9" PCC pavement, storm sewers, new fire hydrant, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
