Site work and paving for a road / highway in Talbotton, Georgia. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.

Project cancelled, no timeline on if/when project will rebid. This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road (as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 (24) as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-61 (c) and (d) (1) (D). Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors to provide "Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services" during the prequalification process having an MSA agreement beginning with (48400-410-0000034480) are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Request for Quote (RFQ). Through this ITB/RFQ the Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, "the State Entity, Department, Agency, or GDOT") is seeking bids for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services. All respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the MMSA 48400-410-0000034480, all respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the RFQC 48400-410-0000033480, subsequent awarded contract, and the Invitation to Bid (ITB) / Request for Quote (RFQ) Form, and are cautioned to completely review the entire ITB/RFQ and follow instructions carefully. The Department reserves the right to modify existing provisions or include additional provisions, which are not currently addressed herein and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and in-formalities at its discretion. The Contractor will be required to perform prep work, removal, installation and cleanup for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services defined in this ITB. The majority of the work will occur on the Interstate and State Route system. The Contractor shall supply labor, equipment, tools, means of transportation, traffic control, and incidentals to perform work in accordance to specifications, and to ensure a safe work environment for employees and the traveling public within the time schedule specified. Perform Mill and Inlay, Restriping and RPM removal and Installation in Talbot County on SR 22 MP 7.8 to MP 13.2, Work under this contract consists of Restriping, RPM installation, sealing cracks from edge of pavement to edge of pavement, and the mill and inlay of various locations on SR 22 in Talbot County from MP 7.8 to MP 13.2. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control and incidentals necessary to perform work. This contract shall be bid per line item. Any and all overruns will be at the contractors expense. A. All locations marked for repaving are to be paved with 12.5 mm Superpave at a rate of 220 lbs/sy. There are some locations that will require a deviance in thickness up or down as needed so to correct dips or to tie in with existing roadway surface. B. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of all milling and debris. C. Any damage to signs, pipes, culverts, drains, bridges, or any concrete structure that occurs during construction shall be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the department. D. All milled areas shall be paved back to final grade before reopening the roadway. E. Locations are described in the below attachment. The areas to be mill and inlayed have been marked on the roadway and any additional quantities shall be placed at the discretion of the engineer. F. All extra quantities are to be used as directed by the engineer. G. At any time during the milling process if an area is discovered to need more than what is required in this contract, the Contractor shall proceed with the mill and inlay as per contract log and notify the Department of the areas. H. All mill/inlay patches and transitions shall be smooth as per section 400.3.05.. All areas, as determined by the Engineer, that are not smooth shall be repaired at no additional cost to the Department. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure smooth well drained patches. I. The cost of tack application and mobilization(s) shall be included in the price of asphalt. J. This work also includes cleaning, removing dirt, grass, and other debris from cracks and asphalt joints, and filling with a polymer/ modified asphalt rubber. K. Material used for Crack Sealing shall be on QPL 92. L. All mainline traffic striping (incl. solid, skip, words, arrows, etc.) within the noted project limits shall be restriped as per section 652 (Thermoplastic Striping) and should be included in the Striping lump sum line item. Traffic Striping shall be installed as per specifications. After the completion of the mill/inlay and Thermoplastic Traffic Striping, Raised Pavement Markers shall be installed on the Center line as well as each passing lane or additional lanes. New RPM's shall be installed as per specification 654, and Construction Standard and Detail T15A and T15C after the removal of existing RPM's. Any temporary striping needed for this project shall be included in the cost of traffic control. M. There are currently no time restrictions for this project, although Work times may be altered at theEngineers discretion due to traffic volume and school zones. N. The Contractor shall notify the Thomaston District Office at 706-646-7521, forty-eight hours prior to beginning work and shall coordinate with other construction or utility companies working in the area. O. The Contractor shall notify the Inspector of any changes in the work schedule. 48-hour notice is preferred. Contractor shall correspond with the Inspector on all aspects of the project until final acceptance.
