Renovation of a municipal facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of February 28, 2023, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.**  Repair/Replace Damaged Fiber Optic and Tube Cell Services Scope of Work: The following work shall be performed by the low-volt contractor: 1. Test and certify in accordance with TIA Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing procedures and UNLV Wiring Design Guidelines (https://it.unlv.edu/cwdg). The following fiber bundles shall be tested: a. BEH 125 F9 A-C to TBEA 305 F2 G-I (72 Strands) b. BEH 125 F9 D-F to TBEA 305 F2 J-L (72 Strands) c. LLB 1241 F19 D-F to TBEA 305 F10 D-F (72 Strands) d. TMC 1000 F1 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 A-C (72 Strands) e. TONC 140 F10 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 G-I (72 Strands) f. PKG3 125 F3 A-B to TBEA 305 F10 J-K (48 Strands) 2. Provide and install approximately 140' of new 19 duct AFL/Duraline tube cell between vault 98-D to manhole 90D. 3. Provide and install two (2) new 72-strand fiber bundles from SU 229 to RLL 201. The approximate length of the fiber bundles is approximately 2000 feet. Contractor shall field verify length prior to ordering fiber. a. The contractor shall use the new tube cell installed in line 2. b. The fiber shall be terminated in the existing fiber cassettes in SU 229 F7 D through F and RLL 201 F9 D through F. i. Test and certify in accordance with TIA Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing procedures and UNLV Wiring Design Guidelines (https://it.unlv.edu/cwdg). ii. UNLV Network Development and Engineering (NDE) personnel shall move fiber patch cables from the current path to new fiber prior to any other work being performed. c. Fiber for the second 72-strand fiber bundle shall be installed and terminated in the existing fiber cassettes in SU 229 F7 A through C and RLL 201 F9 A through C. 4. Blow back the required strands of fiber out of the damaged tube cell to the vault 98-D MicroDuct Distribution Box (MDB). The approximate distance for each bundle of fiber that needs to be blown out is: a. BEH 125 F9 A-C to TBEA 305 F2 G-I (72 Strands) - 1000 feet b. BEH 125 F9 D-F to TBEA 305 F2 J-L (72 Strands) - 1000 feet c. LLB 1241 F19 D-F to TBEA 305 F10 D-F (72 Strands) - 2000 feet d. TMC 1000 F1 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 A-C (72 Strands) - 2000 feet e. TONC 140 F10 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 G-I (72 Strands) - 2000 feet f. PKG3 125 F3 A-B to TBEA 305 F10 J-K (48 Strands) - 2000 feet g. All lengths shall be field verified. 5. Reinstall the fiber bundles removed above in the new tube cell from Line 2. a. The fiber shall be terminated in the existing fiber cassettes as documented above. 6. Test and certify in accordance with TIA Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing procedures and UNLV Wiring Design Guidelines. The following fiber bundles shall be tested: a. BEH 125 F9 A-C to TBEA 305 F2 G-I (72 Strands) b. BEH 125 F9 D-F to TBEA 305 F2 J-L (72 Strands) c. LLB 1241 F19 D-F to TBEA 305 F10 D-F (72 Strands) d. TMC 1000 F1 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 A-C (72 Strands) e. TONC 140 F10 A-C to TBEA 305 F10 G-I (72 Strands) f. PKG3 125 F3 A-B to TBEA 305 F10 J-K (48 Strands) g. SU 229 F7 A-C to RLL 201 F9 A-C (72 Strands) 7. Remove old, repaired innerduct. 8. Provide all necessary consumables. 9. Provide a schedule of all work to be performed. 10. System manufacturer warranty shall be submitted upon completion of fiber certification and shall be provided to UNLV Network Development and Engineering within 30 days of substantial completion or prior to project closeout, whichever comes first.
